Heinz Dilemma

Heinz’s wife is near death from a special kind of cancer. There was one drug that doctors thought might save her. It a was a form of radium that a druggist in the same town had recently discovered, the drug was expensive to make, but the druggist was charging ten times what it cost for him to produce it. The radium cost $200 dollars but he was charging $2000 for a small dose of the drug. Heinz went to everyone he knew to borrow the money, but could only raise $1000. He told the druggist that his wife was dying and asked him to sell it cheaper or let him pay later. The druggist said “No”. Heinz in an act of desperation broke into the shop later and stole the drug.

Question: Was Heinz wrong for stealing the drug?
